Most Precious Curtains Ever!

August 16th, 2007 · 2 Comments

I have a kitchen window that faces the apartment building across the driveway from mine. I thought that I wouldn’t mind them being able to look in on me while I did the dishes, but I do. So, I decided to get some curtains. Lots of choices - it is America after all. Had a brainstorm and decided to hang cute, vintage, embroidered kitchen towels or napkins from a tension rod. Went to the local antique mall - which is a 5 minute drive from my house (should ride bike) and got the most precious curtains ever! They are two hand embroidered pillow cases folded over. The embroidery is of a pot of plants - pink pots and light/dark blue flowers. They have handmade crocheted scalloped edges!!! Too cute!

happy birthday late! Now you know I love that vintage stuff and these curtains are cute but you need to iron them and get those fold lines out of them.

CD - I know! They were starched to within an inch of their lives. They are super stiff - need hand washing and pressing. Maybe this weekend…

I have some other collections you’ll probably like too (or just roll your eyes). I’ll blog about them soon-ish.
