Well, all of the pictures from Barcelona are up. I am not going to bore you with more of them here. Some of them are pretty cool though. I didn’t edit them at all. So please cut out lamp posts with the Photoshop of your imagination if they annoy you.
Barcelona has great architecture - the moderistas left their mark on the city. Gaudi and others made remarkable buildings including the incredible Sagrada Familia.
It seems like everyone in Barcelona smokes and drinks. Then after smoking and drinking all day they jog or bike in the evening. The coolest trend in vehicles I saw while there is the folding bike. It’s a neat idea but looks kind of weird because they have such a long seat stand. But after you’re finished riding, you can just fold them up and bring them to your appointment, or to your desk, or store them easily in your apartment! I might have to get one in Tel Aviv. My former plan was to buy a old but working bike and paint it hot pink! I’m conflicted now.
It’s hard to find Diet Sprite in backward, uncivilized Barcelona.
Going to Barcelona made me remember what a great place Israel is for tourists.
LOOK! I got all of my posts from Shalom Israel onto Nun Bet! Thanks to CK for the help! The only bad thing is that the images from back in the day are served at Blogger and I can’t get them to show up here. I’ll have to go back to each of my over 600 posts on Shalom Israel and upload those images on Nun Bet or Flickr. Hmmm. Free Time.

Sounds like you guys had a great time! Did you encounter any “ugly Israeli” tourists?

RR: We didn’t see any ugly travel behavior from Israelis while we were there - except on the plane. But it was Arkia, so they were being ugly to Israelis which I guess makes it better.

[…] Ok, ok! I know that I promised no more Barcelona. I was going through my notes though and remembered something I wanted to share. So hang in there with me. There is a long boulevard in Barcelona covered with tourists called Las Ramblas. Lots of cafes, hotels, and interesting things to see. […]
