Road Closed

Jerusalem BridgeOver a recent Shabbat dinner at Y’s parent’s house, I mentioned that I read an article about the bridge that they’re building as part of Jerusalem’s light rail project (pdf). I shared that the article said that pieces of the bridge were being manufactured abroad and would be shipped to Haifa. Once there, the sections would be brought by truck to Jerusalem. Patriot Rocket LauncherAlong the way, roads would have to be closed to traffic to accommodate the large, slow moving vehicles. Y’s mom said, “Oh, I remember the last time they had to close the roads like that. It was during the first Gulf War and they brought in the Patriot missiles.”
