Gosh, it’s been a while. I have been super busy with loads of fun stuff. I haven’t even had time to crochet! Let me update. I got a promotion at work. I am now the, get this, assistant manager of the store where I started to work in only November! It just goes to show you that if you are an elementary school teacher for fours years, you’ve learned the skills needed to effectively manage practically anything. I think Airbus needs me next. The promotion comes with a HUGE 3 shekel an hour pay increase! Ha ha! What else? Y is still traveling around Central America. I get emails and text messages from him from time to time. He’s visited the rain forests and hiked volcanoes. I am a little jealous. It’s funny, but his “hotel” doesn’t have hot water but they’ve got internet access and he can use his cell phone! I’ve also been very busy with new internet projects. If I’m not at work folding clothes then I am at home cooking, cleaning, or online.
Last night on a whim I searched for my hometown on youtube. There are two videos tagged with my hometown. One is the 1997 Kings Mountain Toughman Contest. The other is a short documentary on “Flag Day” where this nut parades through the streets of my hometown with Confederate flags. If you know me and love me, PLEASE watch this video. You’ll understand why I moved to Israel. Seriously, you get a good look at the sleepy, Mayberry downtown where I (I don’t want to say “grew up” - I’ve grown more after I left.) - well, got all these voices in my head. God. Just watch. If you meet me in person you’ll also be freakin’ amazed that I actually talk like a “normal” person and don’t really have a bad American accent in Hebrew.

Hey,
We haven’t spoken in a while. But it seems like you and Tel Aviv are getting along very well
Do you mind if I ask where you work? Mostly I’m aondering because if you work at Dizzengoff Center, that’s where my husband’s store is, and that would be randomly very cool, although I’m not quite sure why.

Hey, how come you’re not travelling with Y.? Sounds like a great vacation he’s taking.

LOL, I was ready to leave after 2 minutes of the video… just about when he started talking about the FBI, I was, like “yep, I’m outta here”.
It was great seeing you in action in your new position of store manager yesterday. I tell you, Airbus should be calling you! You run a lean, mean outfit there, boy!

Hi Sharon - yeah, I am in Dizzy Center.
Shirat - you know it, baby!
Jany - I went to the States for a while in Dec. There’s only so much time you can be away from work. Y’s on vaca to clear his head from his stint at the Supreme Court.
NC: Yes. I was ready to move after 2 minutes there too. It was fun to see you too.
